Today I invite you to prepare this delicious recipe for chicken sandwiches with chimichurri that finds its inspiration in South American flavors. As we all know, chimichurri is an exquisite sauce originally from Argentina whose base ingredient is parsley. This time we will make a homemade chimichurri in a personal version that I recommend.

How to Make Chicken Chimichurri Sliders

We are going to boil the chicken breast in a pot with water and salt for about 25 minutes . At the end of the cooking time, we remove it from the water and shred it. Cut the red onion into julienne strips and fry for a couple of minutes in a pan with a tablespoon of olive oil. Add the chicken, season with salt, pepper and leave, on low heat, for about 10 minutes.

To make the chimichurri , pass the parsley leaves in water, chop the red pepper as well as the garlic clove. We place these ingredients in a food processor or blender, add four tablespoons of olive oil, wine vinegar, salt and pepper. We process until we integrate everything into a thick consistency . Pour into a bowl, cover and refrigerate for about 10 minutes. To serve, spread butter on each side of the buns, heat them in the oven for about five minutes. We fill them with green leaves, the chicken and the sauce.
